Nimitz
So on my G34 have a skeletonized striker & lightened striker spring which requires Fed 100s for 100% light off. With the availability issues of Fed 100s I've gone to using them only for matches and Winchester for training. This usually results in a few light strikes here and there which I can live with in training. However, lately the number of light strikes has started to ramp up. This morning's session is a good example, out of 220 rds I had 12 light strikes. The gun was also just cleaned last night. So, is this an indication that it's time to change the striker spring? JBP55
Absolutely. The 4# springs work well in most Glocks with a light weight firing pin but the spring needs to be changed on a routine basis. If yours is giving you trouble with a new or almost new spring I would go to a 4.5# spring.
