George Post
The poppers are suppose to be 11.5 feet from the center line. Do you measure from the center line of the popper, or the edge of the circle or as shown in the drawing, from the edge of the base?

Do you measure from the center line of the popper, or the edge of the circle or as shown in the drawing, from the edge of the base? I'm curious, why would you think to do something other than what is specified in the drawing?
George Post
Because I once set up Bang and Clang with it set to the edge of base as in the drawing. The match director had us change it to the edge of the circle. Edited November 4, 2013 by George Post
sperman
My guess is the edge of the circle. USPSA has no control over the size of your base, but the size of the circle is spelled out in the rulebook.
George Post
The base is 6 inches plus or minus .25 inches as per appendix B3. My question stands.
sperman
I thought you were referring to the frame, my mistake. So you're stressing over the base, which is 3" from centerline, vs. the edge of the circle, which is 4" from centerline? I'd say pick one and move on. I appreciate your attention to detail, but I can't believe +/1" is going to make any difference. I've seen MD's setup classifiers by stepping them off, I'm sure they have much more than 1" of error. ZackJones
This was actually a fun classifier to shoot. It received the most positive comments from the shooters today. I had 57 points (1 Mike), time of 22.19 for a HF of 2.1181. Shooting a borrowed 1911 to get my single stack classification.
CSStreett
Unclassified in Limited with 69 points, 10.66 seconds and HF of 6.4728. This was my second USPSA match. So...Where would that land me in % of HHF?
GunBugBit
My first USPSA match happened to be an all-classifier that included this stage. I was shooting a lightly modified TRP 1911, factory .45 ammo.
