FWSixgunner
This is my first time working on a 21st century revolver with the new lockwork. For the most part things are the same, but the trigger surface that contacts the cylinder stop is no longer flat and has that little lump in the middle. Is the lump the only thing that contacts the cylinder stop? On an older model, you'd square & smooth the part and bevel the bottom edge. But what can you do on this one besides simply buff everything?
PatJones
Keep it straight, but you only need to polish the raised surface. Its easier to do than on the older guns. I think its an improvement.
alecmc
Yep. Just polish it. Careful on how much you take off.
Tom E
This is a real be carefull thing. Too much removed and you're replacing the trigger. CAREFULLY round the lower corner a bit along with the sharp point on the cylinder stop. Too much and the stop won't drop enough or be held down long enough. Then you can work on the upper corner to help the trigger back past the stop during rebound. On these surfaces I use only a fine ceramic stone.
