Of course I know the reason: they are longer, but my question is why?

you can even a get a lot of variance between different ammo from the same manufacturer, federal high brass is usually longer than low brass in my experience and i dont like how tight it is in my caddies

Thanks for the info & I didn't know that, but strange that it is only the Remington's that are a bit long - & I tried 00 Buck, 4 Buck, 5 & 7 1/2, they all would only load 6. Missed x about 1/16 but missed none-the-less. Strange.

I went to a longer tube from Nordic and cut the spring so I could only load 8.5 rounds so I could allways get my full 8 in the tube without fighting the last one in and worrying about the brand of rounds.

Yeah, but I have a 930 JM Pro that was a bitch to get running so cutting the spring is not an option.

As it is, I bought custom springs a cut them +13".

A longer mag is also not an option as I want the short barrel & an extended mag defeats the purpose.

So . . . I can load anything but Remington, 7 in the mag (actually 6 + 1 Remington will load) then I can load anything (3" even) in the hole + ghost.

That gives me 9 rds w/ an 18.5" barrel as opposed to 11 in the JM w/ the 24" barrel...good trade-off I say!
