bradandash925
I took the primer station locator tab off and the indexing ARM spring went flying off. How and where does it go? Edited October 20, 2013 by bradandash925
razorfish
Not sure what loader your using, but all of the manuals are on-line. There are "exploded parts diagrams" generally on the latter pages of the manuals that should show you how things go together. http://www.dillonprecision.com/#/manuals.html

bradandash925
correction I can not get the indexing arm spring back into place. I can not figure out how it goes in there.
ChuckS
These may help. You basically put the spring on the arm, stick the other end into the slot on the body and then put the shaft through the hole in the arm and then into the hole in the body. gacajun
Just had that problem last night...was cleaning up my 650 and for some reason that spring had came out of the part #8 (can't remember the part name so I am using the # from the exploded view diagram in post #4 above)...the metal arm that holds the brass against the shell plate in the primer position. It took me a while to figure this out. You need to take off the Part #8 and then just put it back on with the the washer (#19) and the screw (#7) on and just barely engage the screw into the threads. This will secure the #8 to the press..just barely. You then need to swing #8 AWAY from the spring to get some room for the spring to be put in. Put the #10 spring in the slot and compress the spring with either your hand or some other small item....I used a small flathead screwdriver. You have to be careful here because this is the part where the #10 spring can "spring" out. Holding your finger over the top of the spring to keep it from "springing out" and while keeping the spring compressed using the screwdriver you need to slowly rotate the #8 toward the spring to where it engages the spring....keep sliding the #8 until it compresses the spring. Remove the screwdriver and then tighten down the # 7 screw. Sorry for using the numbers....I am at work and don't have the manual in front of me. The hard part is to keep the #10 spring compressed while you rotate the #8 so that it full compresses the #10 spring. The spring has a tendency to creep out of the little slot and bend around to the left as you rotate the #8 to the right to fully compress the spring. It took me a few times to actually make this technique work. Oh...and the spring fell down into the press when I was working with it. I have a strong mount and found it below the strong mount under the press on top of the loading table. Edited November 1, 2013 by gacajun
