Markxdm
I just got a XDM 5.25 Comp in 9mm. I got it for IDPA and carry. I am going to shot 147gr bullets about 130 PF. Do I need to change recoil springs? if so what # and where is the best place to get them. I shot IPSC 20 years ago. I am out of touch on where to get stuff. GreenDragon64
Stock is 18lb I believe. You can try powderriverprecision, they have springs in 12-22lb best I recollect. I'm running stock springs with minor PF 147gr, haven't switched springs though.
Loves2Shoot
I used a 14# spring with the 147's. We have them in stock also.

joshxdm9
I am running 16# spring with 124g round nose bayou with solid guide rod. I have ran between 5-6000 rds never had an issue with feeding or ejecting.
chevyoneton
I had to drop to a 16# spring in my 4.5 to get some crappy old 9mm reloads to run but any reasonable load ran fine with the factory spring. I should say I am not one to see how light a spring I can run, but exactly the opposite. I want it to run a 100% but with the stoutest spring. BungeeeMan
It'll probably still run with the stock spring, but Scott's right, 14# is a good choice for a load like that. I shoot all sorts of stuff, mostly factory 124gr, so I'm running a Wolff 16#. I get mine from Springer, which is also a good source for other XDm springs.
