lvipscshooter
I discovered something interesting today while testing my 7625 loads. I am running Berrys 124gr thick plate hollow base round nose bullets with 7.6 grains of 4756, oal is 1.235. I had originally chronoed them out of my open gun with a non ported hybri barrel and 3 port schuemann titanium comp. They chronoed at 170pf. Due to mechanical issues, I had to switch back to my 4 port hybri barrel with a 7 port egw comp and to my amazement, the same load chronoed at 175. Now granted it is a little hotter out now than when I originally tested the load, but I would have though with that many more holes in the barrelgcomp they would have been slower. Guess there is more to this physics stuff than I thought
HI5-O
I'm confused, are you running 7625 or 4756? Hotter weather and a tighter barrel for the increase in velocity? I would have thought you would need more powder with more holes in the barrel too.
Hi-Power Jack
Each barrel is a little different.
lvipscshooter
Running 7625. Same koad chronod 168.5 at the High Desert Classic in NM last weekend. @ 2000 feet higher in elevation than where our range is here in Vegas so that explains the drop
