Higgins
I have been reading that in addition to changing out the recoil spring every 3 to 5 thousand rounds there is a roll pin that needs to be replaced as well.. Do the newer model Sigs have this requirement? Please advise! Higgins
JAFO
If you have an Elite, it's a stainless milled slide using either a solid Firing Pin Positioning Pin (FPPP), or the newer spiral pin. I don't believe either of these is subject to the 3-5k replacement schedule. That requirement is still a consideration for an older gun with dual roll pins holding a removable breech block into a folded slide.
Joe L
JAFO is right, no pin problem with the stainless elite without a removable breech block. I have lots of rounds through mine, no pin replacement. Joe
