RevolverJockey
Question came up today during an informal steel match at my club - a club that also participates in Steel Challenge. Are .22 suppressors legal? I don't see a rule specifically allowing or disallowing them and also, if you were to shoot an iron sighted pistol, would it be open as it does not contain an optic, compensator or barrel port? Thanks, any thoughts or guidance toward a rule would be appreciated, Lee Edited June 9, 2013 by Mitch_Rapp.
tobydog
We've had some people try to use suppressors on .22's. The problem is timer sound. If it doesn't make noise, the timer will not pick up the shots and you're shooting for fun. We had some rifle problems this way. I can't find any rule one way or the other. May be a question to ask the Steel Challenge people.
