Wanting to Modify a Glock 17 gen3

I have just purchased a G17 for training, and possibly conceal carry.

I was thinking of modifying the trigger to a 3.5lb, and the recoil spring (I wanted to go with a better 17lb).

This will be a gun that will get well used.

I am looking for advice on the mods.

Thanks

If it's going to be a carry gun, replace the Glock sights (at least the front sight) with one that does not snap in (like the glock factory sight does). Outside of that, leave it stock. If it will not be a carry gun the sky's the limit.

Dawson FO or serated front, dawson adjustable rear.

You need to decide if you want the trigger to break toward the beginning or end of the travel.

Ghost rocket connector.

Zev comp spring kit.

Debur and polish trigger bar.

hone sear face/cut down the top of the engagement area by a few thousands. Repolish.

At this point it might be good to purchase the extended striker.

Flatten bottom of striker foot.

Polish entire striker foot area.

chuck the striker saftey up in drill.

recontour engagement area to round surface, do not reduce height, polish to high shine.

install all components and fit ghost rocket.

Weld up barrel hood and refit

install T.R. Graham slide lock

weld slide at barrel bushing area and refit.

Metal guide rod with ISMI/Wolf/Zev recoil springs.

ensure function and that gun doesnt go full auto.

DISCLAIMER. Dont do this.
