njl
I'm curious if anyone here has a 30S and if so, if you load .45 minor, have you found the 30S to be much more tolerant of minor PF ammo than the 30?
dirty whiteboy
Don't have a 30s, but have shot the 21 and 30 a bunch. It's hard to beat Clays with 230 grain(jacketed) bullets for soft shooting. I would start with about 3.6 grains Clays . OAL 1.225-1.
njl
I've been loading for the 21 for a couple years...both barely major PF and minor. What I found the hard way recently is that the 21 is far more tolerant of minor ammo than the 30. The 21 will function with ammo lighter than I want to use. The 30 gets finicky and starts stovepiping and failing to eject far sooner.
kildar
My 30 does'nt do we'll with light loads. The lightest reload I've found that still is reliable is 200gr Bear Creek over 4gr of Clays.
