latech15 Posted February 19, 2013 Share Posted February 19, 2013 I'm doing a black finish called Nitro Bond. It is a finish that is within the metal. It ads nothing dimensionally to the steel. It can be done on steel or stainless. It hardens the metal and makes it very wear and corrosion resistant. I work in the metal fabrication industry and this is a finish that we use on our oem parts and I tried it on my guns a few years back and they have all held up perfectly, even being used in kydex holsters.
