There are two types of pilots in the world: single engine and multi-engine. There's some crossover, but generally people worship one god or the other. Of course, religious zealots being who they are, folks always tried to lay the same line on him. "But Jim, wouldn't you rather have two/four/etc engines?! It's so much safer. "Tell you what. I have worked in instrumentation and controls in a large fossil (sounds better than coal) fired power house for over 27 years. People are always wanting to "upgrade" the instrumentation with something else. My philosophy is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" Now, if I may, I'll add to it your Dad's line, "Tell you what.
