ctay
With the Black Friday deals our club just purchased 10 new Nook Simple Touch's. We have been using the Palms for years so everyone is comfortable with electronic scoring. What I would really like is for someone to post their clubs workflow in using Practiscore. IE - register shooters on ez win score, transfer to Practiscore, score match, transfer back to ez win. I know there are several pieces that I don't yet understand - for example device syncing. Anyone willing to type out their process for me? Chris
jcwren
This is a work in progress (and not much progress has been made), but the goal is document the work flow so that anyone coming in cold to the process we use at Cherokee Gun Glub and River Bend Gun Club could run a match. I'm hoping to get this finished fairly soon, as I've got to get some people cross-trained to back me up. http://www.tinymicros.com/wiki/Match_Scoring_With_Practiscore
ctay
That's what I'm looking for - just need a complete version. The process is what I'm missing.
CHA-LEE
Below is the current work flow process that our club uses.... PractiScore / Nook Scoring Procedure Setup Match in EZWin Score Setup Stages. Setup Registration. Close EZWin Score. Export Stages/Registration from EZWin Score Database Use ezws2ps program to convert EZWin Score DB to work with PractiScore. This creates a MyMatch.psc file. Change the “MyMatch.psc” file name to make the file name relevant to the match, for example “HPPS_12-12-2012.psc”. For this procedure we will refer to the .psc file as “ABC123.psc” to give it a generic name. Import MyMatch.psc into Nook Plug Nook USB into PC. Navigate to the “PractiScore\Match” folder on the Nook. Copy match file “ABC123.psc” file into Nook folder. Safely Remove Device from PC USB. On Nook PractiScore Import Match Click on “Sync” tab. Click on “Import Match”. Navigate to the “PractiScore\Match” folder. Select the “ABC123.psc” file. This imports the Stages and Registration into the Nook. Validate Wireless Connectivity On the top right corner of the Nook Screen, just to the left of the battery meter there should be a radio antenna icon. If the antenna icon is shown then the Nook is connected to the wireless network properly. If the antenna icon is not shown then the Nook is Not connected to the wireless network. Tap on the upper right corner of the screen where the antenna icon would be located and this should bring up the Wireless connectivity settings page. Select your wireless network or enable the wireless and wait for the status to show as “Connected”. Once it shows as “Connected” then you can tap on the “X” to close the wireless setup screen. The antenna icon should now be present in the upper right corner of the screen. Sync all Scoring Nooks with Master Nook Click on the “Sync” tab of Scoring Nook. Click on “Sync With Other Devices”. Input the Sync Code of the Master Nook. Click on “Sync” Button. This moves the stages/registration to the Scoring Nook. Repeat Steps 3 – 4 for all Scoring Nooks used for match. When completed all Nooks should have the Match/Stages/Registration loaded. Make sure that the rooted OS menu on the middle right of the screen is minimized to keep shooters from accidently tapping on the menu while scoring. Score Match Hand out Nooks and let the shooters score the match. Sync Master Nook with all Scoring Nooks Click on the “Sync” tab of the Master Nook. Click on “Sync With Other Devices”. Input the Sync Code of the Scoring Nook. Click on “Sync” Button. This moves the scores to the Master Nook Repeat Steps 3 – 4 for all Scoring Nooks used for match. When completed the Master Nook should have the scores loaded. Export Results from Nook to PC using PractiScore Exporter On Scoring PC launch the PractiScore Exporter program In the Get Devices section enter the Sync Code of the Master Nook. Click on the “Connect” button. This should populate the Nook name in the “Select Device” Section. Highlight the Master Nook Name. Click on the “Save EzWinScore” button. This imports the scores from the Nook and places them in the C:\PractiScore folder. Import scores into EZWin Score Open up EZWin Score Program Click on Match> Handheld> Click on the “Import Scores” button to import the match scores into EZWin Score Edited November 27, 2012 by CHA-LEE
