The movie is no award winner but I love the part where they are out of options and must ask the old sailors for help. The old sailors are more than willing to sacrifice any thing they have and bring the moth balled Missouri back into service. Also the Army sergeant with prosthetic legs is about to give up on himself but when needed can be counted on with every thing he has.

He is a real life soldier on active duty. I think he is a colonel.

The movie was entertaining. It was a good way to kill 2 hours with wife and staying out of the heat. It was brutally hot when it was playing at the theater.

The best scene is where they are calling out the missile shots.... D-36...... Miss!

I dont know why it tanked in the theaters and got bad reviews. I thought it was very entertaining.

I liked the old vets coming in also! I don't think they were actors either.

I agree. While it was not an award winner, it was exactly what I expected. A cool, action movie with a light script and story line. Good guys beats aliens, gets girl, shoots cool toys, and has large explosions. I like the scene where they drop the anchor and skid the ship into place sideways!

I enjoyed the 4 guys and a chick toting a 1900 lb shell through the ship.
