I run a little less with a Precision 185 at 1.18. Ends up ab 4.4. Somewhere in that range would be a decent place to start. May take a little more for the plated projectile. Load a few @ 4.5, chrono, adjust, re-chrono, etc. Longer OAL w/ all other things being equal will yield lower pressure.

Thanks.

Is that Precision Delta? or Precision Bullets (moly)? What PF are you at with 4.4grns and 1.18 OAL?

When I used to use 180's with Solo my load was 4.8 grains of Solo at 1.180 with a BBI moly bullet out of a 5" STI. I'd suggest starting at 4.7 with a plated bullet and work up from there. My experience with plated stuff is that they take just about the same powder charge as jacketed bullets to reach desired pf.
