colbyjack
Trying to find info for this load. I looked in 3 of my books and checked the powder mfg. Website. Heres what i got 165 grain round nose flat point soft cast lead. (165.7gr) and clays (regular) I can find info on a 155 gr lswc data start 4.9 max 5.2 gr with clays 180 gr lswc data start 3.8 max 4.5 gr with clays So on the 165 grain what do you think should be a safe start and max. Want to work ip a load for my 625jm and a 1911 load. On the 1911 how light of a spring should i run. Think its a 17 or 18 pound spring now. Any info would be great. Thanks. Steve RA
Start @ 4.5 and see what you get. I use 4.7 with a 200gr LSWC for 908fps.

Thanks. 4.9 looks reasonable place to start. Please let us know how this works out. I have often wondered how these would run in 1911 and or 625. Hope you have adjustable sights. I tried some 155 SWC's once and point of aim changed 10" at 25 yds.
