Canuck223
So I had all of 5 minutes to play with the recent DIllon order before the Honey-Do list beaconed. I adjusted the powder die for the new caliber, and locked the die into place. When I tried to lock the powder measure collar down, I noticed with it wrench tight, the powder measure could still rotate around the top of the powder die. This is my second 1050, and my third powder measure. Perhaps it was a fluke, but I've never before noticed any of them not sitting snug on the die. The powder die was a friends spare and is chromed or nickled rather than the black finish I'm used too. Ideas???
dillon
The clamp should tighten enough on the powder die that the measure cannot rotate on it. Sounds like the groove on the die is a bit deeper, or the flats on the clamp are slightly thicker. The black powder dies for the 1050 are black oxide finished to identify that they are heat-treated for greater wear resistance from the funnel sliding up and down. noylj
I always keep my clamps loose--no more than slightly finger tight. As always, call Dillon and get it taken care of.
