goldfish
In trying to keep my sp-01 as stock as possible, I had decided to just upgrade the front sight. I used the hiviz fiber optic. This was done when cz custom was out and it was the only one I could find. I decided to keep the rear but the white night sights keeps bothering me during target acquisition. My question is what can be used to cover the white dots on the rear that can be later removed without damaging the night sights. I tried tape and it keeps falling off. Anybody taken this route, appreciate your advise. TY
hiker88
I used skate board tape on the night sights of my Glock before. The adhesive is strong enough to keep the tape in place for several matches and there wasn't any damage to the sights when I took it off.
goldfish
I also tried that too, it holds for awhile it came off in the middle of a match. I'll try to put the tape after I clean the gun and before oiling, maybe there is still oil residue. TY
Wehrwolfe625
I used the "flat blk" touch up pen. One coat. Daylight shooting- you wont see the dots, nighttime -you see the dots And are subdued enough to make the front night sight "pop". Fwiw
bikerburgess
you could use spray on sight black, you would need to re-apply it regularly as it rubs right off but it gives the best mat black sight picture available and is super quick and easy. JamesLovesJammie
Sometimes you can find Black fingernail polish. Coat it on thick and hit it with a Scotchbrite pad to dull the glossy finish. Need to take it off? Just use acetone.
