  1. Here is the grip that is working for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Oops. I was trying to say I had the same ah-ha moment as well Todd ! I have been retraining my grip as well. Indexing with the weak hand middle finger under the trigger guard. I can now grip higher actually pressing in higher on the frame. The gun tracks like it's in a vise! I wish I could post a picture maybe I do not have enough posts on the forum?
  3. One thing to check is the slidestop The bullets would hang up. I trimmed and profiled the slide stop, no more problems.
  4. The Safariland model 5187-53 Comp tac Bladetech-injected all fit the one I have Hope that helps
  5. I used the "flat blk" touch up pen. One coat. Daylight shooting- you wont see the dots, nighttime -you see the dots And are subdued enough to make the front night sight "pop". Fwiw
  6. I'll dust off the ol' six if people start shooting matches near Atlanta. It would be a hoot to get a squad together!
  7. Take off the slide and look at the back of the magazine where it comes through the frame. I had that problem and a file fixed it. I also made a mag catch stop because I dont use oversize button. Hope this helps
  8. Because of my job and moving this year I have only shot 4 or 5 matches with the Rvo. Please don't just give it to me!
  9. My curiosity to see some of Bob's new creations now makes me regret signing in! Thanks Cliff. Next time I will read the other posts! Perdue is the man!
  10. Ok, ok you got me! It's actually the new B.U.T.T. model (Black Unicorn Talon Tactical) The 2 prongs on the frame are razor sharp, equipped with lasers and become "bayonets" to ward off criminals when all ammo has been spent. "evil doers beware"
  11. That model has the adjustable barrel right? I'm wondering that if the frame was bent, cracked,or misaligned, coupled with the barrel thing? The amazing thing was that the man was totally unscathed! At any rate I think I am sticking with steel!!!!
  12. I was at the range the other day, and this guy in the adjacent bay had this blowout! Fortunatly the chap was not injured and he had me inspect this piece. He was using Fiocci factory .357, did not have a squib, and said on the "last" round "it just fell apart in his hands." My only conclusion is that the cylinder was misaligned. What do you guys think?
  13. Shot 1 year (2006) 100 rds every saturday I could with my first gun, HK usp .45 at indoor range. In Nov. 06 I saw Jerry Miculek's vid on youtube. I traded the HK for a 625 bought the Advanced Revolver video and DRYFIRED!!!! March of 07' got introduced to USPSA and shot 2 matches a mon. for the rest of the year plus 1 sectional and DRYFIRED!!!! At 1st classification I was C. In 08' I shot 2 USPSA matches and 1 IDPA each month plus 1 sectional, 1 idpa state, 1carolina cup and I also DRYFIRED!!!! 09' 3 USPSA matches a month, 2 area matches, 1 sectional, and Nats. I think I dryfired a little bit too. I finally made GM in approx. 2yrs and 2 mos. without a ton of wasted bullets downrange. I didn't write this message to toot me 'ol horn. Yes I am proud that I accomplished certain goals, but more importantly I am proud to be a part of something that is so positive and that can bring so much fulfillment to the good men and women involved in the shooting sports. p.s. Thanks to B.E forum!! A59611
  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Hope you had a good cake, can't wait to shoot with you again!!
  15. Thank you for the kind words and all the information gathered from this forum! Gary, I'm still kicking myself in the arse for that one, but I will abide by your wishes and ask Cat soon (just looking for the most romantic time to spring it on her ) Thanks again everyone, see you soon!
  16. I know I started this topic to congradulate Cliff for winning Area 6, I just wanted to stop by again to remind people to check out Matt's scores too. He was pretty close to Jerry moppin' our butts! Pretty good for a lefty
  17. Hats off to Cliff winning Area6 and an honorable mention to Griffin for kickin' both our cracks!!! It was good to meet all yall revos, hope to see all of you soon. Cliff, you look a little different than your avatar. I'm glad Perdue introduced me to you, I wouldn't have known who you were. Until next time.
  18. I'll see ya there Bob, I still owe you that beer!
  19. Hey James, Devon here. I have shot at Statesville and I think rowan with you. I am glad you decided to go revo. Next time we are at a match, let's get on a squad together and slow the whole thing down I have a North Mtn moonclip holder that you can try, I think you'll dig it! As far as videos go you can't go wrong with Jerry's, I have watched it for 2 years and still pick up on the the little things that he does( at least in that year it was taped) and try to see tidbits of clips on youtube. Hope to see you soon, neighbor!
  20. That looks alot better than mine! I just cut and cram a bic pen in it! It's a little cheaper and less time, but not "tactical", Mike : ) but do not let an auto guy tell you how long to cut the post!!!!!
