+5 Arredondo pads on a "Tactical" class M&P?

Got a buddy who is making his 3gun debut at the Larue Multigun this year. He would like to shoot his M&P 9mm, but is concerned that his Arredondo +5 extensions might cause problems for him being in Tactical Class. I didn't know whether extended mags like that would be allowed or not, so I told him I'd inquire. What's the low down, are +5s OK on a Tac Class M&P or does he need to go back to factory basepads?

Thanks!!!

I'm interested too. I'm looking to get into 3 gun myself and it seems I read that the mags in Tactical Class just had to be under 140mm. The Arrendondo extensions are right at or under 140mm, so I believe they are legal but I'm sure someone much more knowledgeable will chime in.

I use the same extensions on my Pro for 3 gun, and they are legal for the 140mm limit on magazine length. You'd have to see what rules they use, but 140mm seems to be the standard. My local match uses Ft. Benning rules.

Same thing here, I use the +5 ext on a M&P Pro in 3 Gun.

Has anyone actually gauged the Arredondos or the Taylor Freelance extensions? I have brass TF's on my .40 mags and I'm curious about what others have found. I do not have a gauge...
