theactionshooter
Hello, Is there a way of using the mags for 9x19 ammo without the spacer. How and whats the alternative? Thanks
donnyglock
If you load your rounds long enough. I use the spacers and have had no issues. i load mine to 1.165 oal. You can use the 38 super mags if you load longer. Edited February 1, 2012 by donnyglock
NickAument
I've found no rhyme or reason but some guns run 9mm well with spacers and some better without spacers irregardless of length!? I have 3 STI 9mm dbl stacks and it's a roll of the dice. most do work better with longer loaded rounds spacers or no spacers.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: You can use SVI mags. The new ones will work if you move the mag release notch and taper the mag to fit the STI frame. Or you could use the Hardy spacers in STI mags. I load to 1.170" and make the mag a little shorter front to back if I don't use the spacer. Thanks, Eric
waddo29
My buddy runs factory 9mm minor ammo thru his sti 9mm/38Super mags and doesn't seem to have any trouble with them. He has occasional failure to feed issues with a round hear and there, but so do I with my mags and I run the spacers.
