Out here in Maui where we all shoot "Open-10", 357 Sig would be quite viable, especially if you wanted a two-in-one gun with an Open slide-barrel and a Limited slide-barrel. JPoint or Fowler dot sight on the Open slide. And like SteveHarris said, you can buy your major ammo at the gun store...big plus when you're looking at traveling by air to a major match, what with the spotty enforcement of the 11 lbs of ammo as baggage rule.
