baron45
I am thinking of getting the Doug Koenig Low Mass Hammer and EGW Sear.Has anybody out there ever have had any experiences with this set up?If yes,What do you think of it?What are it's benefits and advantages?Lastly, for those who have also have had experiences with the SVI Excelarator Hammer and Sear, how does it compare to the Doug Koenig Low Mass Hammer and EGW Sear set up?Which set up did you like more? THANKS. baron45
redmercury2
KOENIG HAMMER+ EGW SEAR with a minimum of stoning in a fixture plus the right sear sppring setup and a 17# hammer spring works for me in an SV or STI.
dirtypool40
I am NOT a gunsmith, hell I don't even know how to clean my guns, but I do have a gun with the Koenig and one with the SV, both are fine, I think it would come down to the 'smithing. diehli
I know a top shooter that has his trigger at 12 ounces with a Koenig hammer, EGW sear, Ed Brown disconnector, and SV sear spring. If you want it really light, that's the setup.
MasterLefty
Are you interested in lock time or a light trigger pull. Both are good designs. The Koenig (was World Class) is a low mass but not low inertia. The SVI was re-designed to lighten the perceived trigger pull. However, if you want reduced lock time I would recommend the Warpspeed from Extreme Engineering. Kenny
Flexmoney
Extreme Engineering? I thought the Warp Speed was from Cylinder & Slide? Got a website for EE that we can check out?
MasterLefty
Extreme makes the hammers for Cylinder and Slide. Rene' at Speed Shooters carries the Extreme line, but I am not sure if they have their own website. I think that Extreme use to be Bob's Cop Shop.
