EEH Posted January 8, 2012 Share Posted January 8, 2012 I got a letter in the mail today,said my company would no longer pay my HEART Dr. (didn't know how to spell cardiologist) but they said not to worry they could find me another DR.in my area,,gee thanks... Yeah, insurance companies are not on my Christmas card list. At least they notified you about the drop. pjb45 Posted January 8, 2012 Share Posted January 8, 2012 Health Plans (Insurance Companies) and physicians relationships are very dynamic to say the least. It is easy to point fingers as to who is to blame for the dissolution of the relationship. Sometimes the health plans are at fault and sometimes the physician is the cause. Health Plans want to control costs, physicians want to increase their revenue. Talk about opposing points of view.
