Ray S.
Hi. Have any of you compared the "feel" or accuracy of both Titegroup and N320 in the 9mm? Thanks. Ray
MoNsTeR
I have. For both 124's and 147's, N320 is the clear winner. Titegroup is louder, has more blast, and produces more recoil. Mind you, I didn't do scientific testing (ie: making sure the PF's were identical, etc.), but my anecdotal results were clear enough that I'm not inclined to do any. It sucks that it costs twice as much, but to me it's worth it.
Zak Smith
I had the exact opposite results. TG had less flash and the recoil was smoother. 124gr WC RN, 4.2gr TG. 1.130" nominal. Right around 1080fps. -z
MoNsTeR
Weird isn't it? I used that exact load for a while, 4.2gr TG + Berry's 124RN. Compared to my N310/147 load it's intolerable.
Flexmoney
Sounds like comparing mouse farts.
warpspeed
Sounds like comparing mouse farts. That's exactly what it is! Just without the smell
Steve Anderson
I tested 320, titegroup and 310 in 9mm with 147 gr bullets: 310 was the clear winner, softest 9 load ever. TG was a clsoe 2nd, but left brown haze all over the front third of the gun. 320 had a pronounced flip and elastic feeling compared to the other two. 310and tg were very close in terms of feel. wadel
I have never used N320 but do use Titegroup for my 9 loads. I'm loading 147's with 3.5 gr (If I remember correctly) of Titegroup. When compared to any sort of major load, this is a joke. Shooting doesn't get much lighter. I agree with Steve that it does leave the brown haze on my gun, but I don't care - it wipes off easily. With the low recoil, low cost and reliability, I have no reason to check out any other powders. Plus, I use it for my 38 Spcl steel loads as well.
