dejadoo
I've been interested in a couple of the used 2011's that have been listed for sale recently but my lack of knowledge/understanding has kept me from acquiring one of them. I shoot USPSA and IDPA and with a limited budget would need the pistol to pull double duty. So, how difficult is it to switch from a bull barrel to the bushing; is it as simple as having a new barrel and bushing fitted or does the slide have to be modified as well? Aircooled6racer
Hello: If the slide is cut for a bushing(groove in it) and most STI slide are but some SVI are not--so check before you buy If you have a bull barreled pistol and want a bushing barreled pistol you just need a bushing and turn down the barrel to suit. You do have to get the barrel to run true before you cut it. A bushing barrel gives you more options for USPSA and IDPA. You can also play with guide rods like heavy tungston or very light Briley aluminum ones. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric

Larry White
Benny Hill at triangle Shooting Sports in Corpus can do that for you pretty quickly. Either with a new barrel or turn the one in the pistol down. 361-241-1091.----------Larry
