  1. I picked mine up Tuesday - it arrived at my LGS Monday; they received 3.
  2. Sounds like the trigger spring broke. The stock trigger spring on my SP01 Shadow broke with less than 500 pulls and did exactly as you are describing.
  3. I just fired off an email inquiring how to order this spring. I'll post the answer if I get a response before he checks in here.
  4. Thanks to all for the feedback. And David for chiming in. I'll be ordering the new spring soon.
  5. I pulled out the CGW firing pin spring & replaced it with a Rami spring (the Rami feels lighter than the stock spring and both are longer than the CGW) & left in the extended firing pin. I've not taken to the range yet, but now when dry firing, after the hammer falls, I am able to push the hammer further forward. When I do, the stop as well as the firing pin both move deeper and the hammer will stay forward until I cock it again.
  6. New stock SP01 Shadow - maybe 250 rounds down the pipe and less than 1,000 dry fire pulls (stock TRS broke around 500). All polished up internally. CGW parts include trigger pin, competition hammer, reduced springs (firing pin, hammer, recoil) and the extended firing pin. While dry firing, I just noticed that with the hammer cocked the firing pin will move forward and back through the stop simply by tilting the the pistol forward and back. I've had zero issues with ignition with the 250 rounds. Is this normal? Is it time to replace the firing pin spring already? Edit for spelling.

    Safety question

Stuart, I saw a picture, posted by you I think, a while back in another thread comparing side-by-side the Tumbler Styles safeties to the D Style, with the Tumbler being slightly higher on the frame - and they looked to be just enough higher to be more comfortable with a high grip. So, to do the reverse (for an SP01 Shadow), from D-Style to Tumbler Style, would I just purchase the needed Tumbler components and swap out the parts? Is the same sear utilized when swapping the ejector housing? I ask about the sear because when I installed the competition hammer, to get the safety to function properly I filed the leg on the sear as opposed to the safety - so I'm thinking I may need a new sear as well... 9. Rather than posting in the Classifieds (see this thread: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=213813) is any fitting required? If so, what might need to be done?
  10. I’m new CZ and picked up a SP01 Shadow today from my FFL; it is unfired and came with the following parts (still new in their respective bags) from the individual selling it: Parts from Cajun Gun Works: Recoil springs #11-RS, 13-RS Firing pin kit- UL-DA/NFPB Disconnector Type1 - 1485/T1 Trigger return spring- RP-TRS Trigger pin- TR-PIN Competition CZ Custom hammer- item #10035 I’ve read through many, many posts here in the CZ forum over the last week and feel like I have a pretty good grasp of what needs to be done to improve the trigger – not that it’s all that bad other than the DA weight. I bookmarked several of them to be able to refer back too knowing that I’ve probably forgotten near half of it by now. A couple of things I will be ordering right away are the thin safeties and I am considering getting the 75 Slide Stop since it is a little shorter – thinking that once the HUGE safeties are out of the way my grip and/or strong hand thumb may interfere with the extended stop. Also, I’m considering getting a new strut and pins to install the new hammer so I do not have to mess with disassembling the stock unit. Oh, and definitely a thinner front site – most likely from Dawson. What else I may need depends on the answers to the following questions. I believe I’ve got the spare parts covered, as far as a list goes, and am focusing primarily on the trigger. The previous owner purchased the “thin” hammer. Aesthetics aside, will it function ok or should I go ahead and spring for the “wide” Shadow version? The base of the “thin” version, where the pin passes through, appears to be the same width as the stock hammer and then has a couple of shoulders where it tapers down to a thinner profile up through the spur. Does being “thinner” equate to being “lighter” and maybe more dependable/reliable for harder primers with the lower weight hammer springs? Is the disconnector the “short reset system” for the non-FP block Shadows? That’s what I’ve concluded in my reading and am just looking for verification. Do I need to go ahead and pick up CGW’s AS-B adjustable billet sear to go along with the new hammer and disconnector? Or just work with the stock part? Or is there something other needed/recommended? The Rami Firing Pin Spring – is it the same as what comes with CGW’s Firing Pin Kit? Is it needed/better if it’s not? Should I go ahead a pick up a #13 hammer spring to try (the Firing Pin Kit comes with both the #8.5 and #12)? Non-trigger question: Is the stainless mag brake offered by CZC a needed upgrade over the stock brake so it “cannot be accidently squished up into the frame”? Has anyone actually experienced this?
  11. The grease ring is clearly touching the perf, but it appears the back layer of cardboard is still present as the result of the bullet striking the target at an angle. So did the bullet "completely pass through the target"?
  12. He should have argued RO Interference.
  13. You are not operating under the new rules until October 1,
  14. They will be in October - still ESP until then.
  15. Have you had someone else (possibly more experienced) shoot it to make sure it is not the pistol?
  16. Glanced at the NROI list as I do from time to time and noticed... M&P 357 Sig Compact 3" (24.7 oz.), M&P 357Sig 4" (28.7 oz.), M&P 40 4" (27.5 oz.), M&P 40 Compact 3" (24.4 oz.), M&P 45 4" (27.9 oz.), M&P 45 Compact 3" (27.3 oz.), M&P 45 Full Size (28.9 oz.), M&P 9 Compact 3" (24.2 oz.), M&P 9L 5" 9mm (28.2 oz.), M&P 9mm 4" (27.2 oz.), M&P Pro series 5" .40 S&W (26 oz.), M&P Pro series 5" 9mm
  17. Any pics of one installed - particulary looking up into the magazine well?
  18. I put my digital caliper on the front sight of my .40 Pro a couple of days ago; the width was .130 but my height measurement came in at .185 from the top of the slide - and there is a gap between the top of the slide and the bottom of the sight (a piece of paper folded in half will slide in easily but three layers will not quite make it).
  19. I have a .40 Pro at Bowie now - he said it would be about 2 months to get it back.
  20. With the XDM base pads being released are the M&P next? If so, any idea as to a time frame?
