Pistol carrying case, soft or hard case?

Just wondering what is everyone using to carry their open guns around when they go to matches? Before I got the open gun I'd just use zipped gun rugs to carry my limited and production guns when I headed to a match or practice, but those same rugs won't hold a open gun, I'm using a hard box now that was used to ship the gun to me in, works ok but is now falling apart from opening and closing. Looking for suggestions.

Oh and if someone can point me to a c-more cover I'd be thankful, +1 if it also works in a holster to stop having dirt bowel in the lens >.<

The C-More cover will stay on with the gun holstered. I use a zippered gun rug for my open guns also.

I'm using a CED pistol sleeve right now. I have a 90degree mount and dont really like the idea of any kind of pressure from the side on the mount itself so i'm also looking for other options. probably just paranoia as nothings gone wrong for 3 or so matches.

For the open steel challenge 22 I use the midway "tactical pistol case" Its a good sized case with mag holders on the outside one one side and 2 pouches for batteries, etc on the other
