nsginc
Hello, my para is not an lda. I know of a 10mm barrel for sale that was fitted to an lda. Will it work in my para also? I am new with para's and 1911's for that matter. I have been a glock guy. Thank you for your time.
chirpy
If it was unfitted I would say probably yes. The LDA and nonLDA is not problem but the "fitting" part might be. Richard
nsginc
That makes sense, he has offered to let me pre fit it. Anything I should check for during the fitting? If it runs a snap cap am I okay? Thank you.
Joe4d
you could round the lugs on your slide if it isnt a good fit. load a piece of brass with the primer removed, remove the firing pin retainer and firing pin spring, drop in the pin see if it lines up perfectly with the flash hole in the brass. Saying thay what are you trying to get the gun to do that it cant do now? Only thing I can see is maybe bowling pins. Still a bit light for hunting, other than to say Its a 10mm, long loaded .40 can accomplish nearly the same thing.
nsginc
I was hoping to have the option of both barrels. As for why the 10mm over .40. No reason really, I reload 10mm and .40. Just would like to add a wide body 1911 to the family.
jcc7x7
Might be worth having a local gunsmith look at it quickly and get their opinion!
