jerryg22
I'm thinking of trading my fairly new Springfield Range Officer for a .45acp revolver. I use the .45 mainly for combat type matches. Would I be better off looking for a S&W 625 with a 4" or 5" bbl? Regular 625 vs. PC vs. JM?What about a S&W 25 with 6" bbl? I do not want DA only. Looking for accuracy not cosmetic looks. Any feedback based on experience will be appreciated.
M1911
If you want to shoot IDPA, then you are limited to a 4" barrel. For USPSA, you'll want a 5" or longer barrel.
Shooting4life
Don't waste your money on pc, get the cheapest 625 you can find in the barrel length you want and send it off to one of the smiths listed here and you'll be good to go.
buckaroo45
Full on competition triggers are sweet enough to bring tears to your eyes; well, mine anyway. Before having a competition trigger job done you have to commit to the ammunition those guns require. Specifically below flush seated Federal primers. If you don't, can't, won't feed it proper ammo the gun will be nothing but aggravation trying to run factory loads. Been there, done that. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ "Don't shoot fast, unless you also shoot good."
