High primers on 1050

Recommended Posts

Hi,

When I just prime cases they seat nice deep in the primer pocket but when in ful operation with all stations full I get high primers. Anybody got a clue whats wrongly adjusted on my 1050?

Grtz

Is your shellplate tight? (no wobble/tilt)

That was the first thing I thought myself but the shellplate doesn't move when I push it. It does however move when I size a case so it seems to be a little loose. If I fasten it more it doesn't rotate freely anymore.

If your shellplate is snug but still moves freely, than adjust the height of the primer punch with the allen screw pin located in the tool head.

By any chance were you using a different tool head when you were just priming?
