Artsville
I use N320 in my 40SW setup and 231 in my 45 setup. I was curious if i could just remove the two allen bolts holding the funnel on and switch it to my 45 setup? I want to work up some loads in 45 with N320? Is that possible? OR Is it easier to just dump the 231 and refill with 320 on the 45 setup? I was also curious if the 1050 bin would fit on the xl650 as well for the completed rounds bin? I might need to create some support for the larger bin though? Has anyone tried this? thnx guys Art
Amerflyer48
Art, on a 450/550 you can just back out the bolts and hang it on your .45 setup since the adjustments are in the dies you will of course need to verify your charge... as long as you keep track of which powder is which you will be fine..I would look into how safe that charge weight you use in a .40 would be if it was 231 by accident though... Which is why I fill my measure,..load ammo then immediately before anything else clear my measure back into the proper powder container and stow it away ... I grew up reloading with 2 other shooters so we did this as a safety precaution,.. would have sucked to load my 10mm with WW231 or WW540 (HS6) instead of WSL As far as load workup with N320 or the bin question ... I can't help with that.. the other option would be to just buy 2 powder measures.... one for each caliber. John
Too_Slow
Yes the 1050 bin will work and yes you do need to put some support underneath it. Artsville
the other option would be to just buy 2 powder measures.... one for each caliber. John i have two caliber quick change kits...so i have the powder measures....just wanted to switch to n320 quickly. Just didn't know if it was easier to switch the powder funnels or dump the powder and pour the n320. I will of course have to change the charge and all that.....you do make a good point though.....we have quick change kits for .223, 9mm, 40 and 45. We are using different powders in each caliber. It might be prudent to empty the funnels when done. Just in case someone is not thinking...........

Once in a blue moon a loaded would round will drop into the bin that I wasn't "sure about." Then I only have find the round within a couple hundred loaded rounds, instead of 500 rounds. be
