You can get the same results with good powder choice, good comp and holes in the right spot. Working up a load your gun and you like means alot. I RO'd Jim a couple of times and hated doing it since that pistol was so loud and if I was to close it hurt my teeth He now shoots a different pistol now without holes and he shoots it better I think.
