gunracer38
HS Smith Mags. Nothing is better. They work excellent in all three of my open pistols. Unfortunately Howard isn't doing them at this time. I was lucky to get four of them. I have SPS mags and STI mags also.
mildot1
I guess the reason I dislike dropping a tuned "30"round mag is the price I paid for it! If I think I can make the entire stage with 31 in the gun I use it. If I think that I might need an extra I use a untuned(for capacity) 170 that holds 28 and know my reload point which is normally going to be with a 140. Yes I KNOW I can reload them faster cause my timer proves it to me. You can tell me that there is always a place to reload and I will tell you it's faster if you don't have to. The timer proves that also. It may be a minute difference but it can add up over 10-15 stages. But you can do it however you like! Mildot

Mo Zee
Please do if you don't mind. No problem. Give me a day or two. So it seems I have already dumped the cracked Grams basepads, I have however taken pics of a spare one I have to illustrate where the crack develops. YOu need to bear i nmind that I only use 170mm mags and the cracks obviously start when the mags are dropped on the floor, hence my reasoning for a metal pad. they tend to develop on the thinnest part of the plactic where the u clip can be seen. It has happened on 4 of the 5 that I had.
JGB
Bevin has always cheerfully replaced any cracked base pads that I experienced
