TriggerT
I wonder if that is what is using up so much of my RAM. I can't find any other reason why so much of it is used up. Where can you download spyware software?
D.Hayden
I wonder if that is what is using up so much of my RAM. TT - what OS are you running? If it's a MS platform, open up Task Manager, open Process tab, sort by memory.. Lots of little applications (Quicktime, Real, others) are taking a few MB's here and there, plus some CPU time... it all adds up.. For Spyware detection: Check this thread: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11627
Flexmoney
Where is the Task Manager? On the old Windows98 machine, I could go in to the System Configuration Utility and turn al that stuff off. I don't know how to do the same thing on the WindowsXP machine?

TriggerT
Thanks for the help guys! I went to the thread BerKim mentioned, ran SpyBot S&D, and that helped alot. Between that and shutting down a few programs, I went from mid 30% RAM avaibable up into the 70's.
