Anyone know if anyone out there is making a "Big Dome" (Vang Comp) type safety for it? It's almost impossible to find aftermarket accessories for the SX2 / FN SLP Mk 1! Braxton1 Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 I've been thinking about this and seeing none offered on the aftermarket, I thought about making my own. I am thinking about drilling-and-tapping the safety and putting a 1911 extended mag release button on it (with diameter adjustment, of course). Rob72 Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 I was unable to find a good parts diagram in a quick search, but if the safety button is similar in pattern to the 870(detent riding over a center step), and if it is slightly smaller diameter than the 870 button, it may be possible to turn down a Vang button. I've done this for 2 Stoeger M2000s (Benelli M1/M2 pattern).
