dhillerman
This came up at a local match recently and there were differing opinions on it's legality. Using a wall with a port that uses nylon mesh to cover the wall, would it be legal to stick the gun through the port and use the holes in the nylon mesh to peer through for sight alignment. In this particular instance, it did allow for an advantange as the shooter would be able to see around a stack of barrels that was intentionally place to block the view of the target from the port itself. Ronnie j
Sounds like poor stage design, I would think it would be legal by uspsa rules.
BoyGlock
It will be a big advantage if shooting thru a very low port that almost requires a prone but may be done w/ a low kneel, thrust the gun iside the port, elevate it so that the shooter can sight it thru the transparent wall and not bend/contort the body much. I usualy do this w/ every opportunity present but no RO has called any violation to the IPSC rule so far.
Flexmoney
There is a duplicate thread on this same topic in the rules section. (And, it is a question on rules.) I will close this thread in favor of the other. Found here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=121168 Thanks, Kyle F.
