JD45 Posted March 3, 2004 Share Posted March 3, 2004 I saw on a Koenig video that the plates are shot prone from 15yds. and farther. Has this always been allowed? Does everyone today shoot prone from 15 on back on plates? I was just curious because a while back when TGO challenged us to try the plates I blindly assumed he meant standing(I've never seen the whole match on T.V.). BigDave Posted March 3, 2004 Share Posted March 3, 2004 Most local open shooters will go prone on the Plates at 15, 20 & 25 and 15, 25 and 50 on the Practical. I've seen even a few shooters go prone at 10 on the plates. If you shoot Metallic Sights, the only time prone is allowed in the Bianchi Cup (std. events: Barricade, Plates, Mover, Practical) match is at th 50yd line in the Practical Event. The plates are a very tough event, standing or prone. I've seen very good shooters drop a plate, some even at the 10 yd line. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
