Bianchi Prone

I saw on a Koenig video that the plates are shot prone from 15yds. and farther. Has this always been allowed? Does everyone today shoot prone from 15 on back on plates? I was just curious because a while back when TGO challenged us to try the plates I blindly assumed he meant standing(I've never seen the whole match on T.V.).

Most local open shooters will go prone on the Plates at 15, 20 & 25 and 15, 25 and 50 on the Practical. I've seen even a few shooters go prone at 10 on the plates.

If you shoot Metallic Sights, the only time prone is allowed in the Bianchi Cup (std. events: Barricade, Plates, Mover, Practical) match is at th 50yd line in the Practical Event. The plates are a very tough event, standing or prone. I've seen very good shooters drop a plate, some even at the 10 yd line.
