In general, don't bother paying up for anything just because it's from the Performance Center. You'll find that your money's better spent sending it to a real gunsmith like Mike Carmoney or Randy Lee.

Having said that, if you like the way the SSR barrel profile balances compared to a full-lug L frame or a half-lug K frame, go for it. Just don't expect it to have a significantly(or any) better action than a regular production gun.

Taken new two months ago.

I immediately bought from Midway a 11 lbs trigger rebound spring.

It's the most important change needed to be done now to have a lighter step.

Just take it open it and put a few drops of engine oil, because it is dry.

One of three screws of the folder is satin, not to be confused with the replacement that is under the grip.

If you use CCI primers loosening the mainspring of 3 / 4 of a turn you have a double action 7.7 Lb and single 3 lbs. Excellent accuracy.

Too bad that the rear sight leaf is not with white inserts.

The wooden grips are more beautiful but rubber is more comfortable.

The flare of the cartridge chambers are there but could be more aggressive.

Assemble the lightened rebound spring and you will see that it is much better.

The original one is 17-18 lb, well, you can increases the rate of fire and accuracy,

more stable working revolver.

Lb. 11, 12, 13 is good, depending on whether you prefer a rebound trigger : to go very fast, but harder, or very soft but you have to accompany with your finger. If you get used to shooting with this technique you'll have good results and it is natural after few time.
