Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Why must everything have a purpose? Perhaps mindfulness stands on its own and talk of its purpose is monkey mind chatter!
  2. Perhaps not both, nor yes nor no, nor not yes nor not no...and yet in mindfulness why think, and in thoughtfulness where is the mind?
  3. If you are fully mindful do you need to also be thoughtful for the bullet/arrow to hit the bulls-eye? Dennis
  4. In Chan (Zen) temples back in the day monks played a game called "guest/host" in which they would practice verbally dueling with one another shifting between Guest (dualistic) and Host (non-dualistic) visions of r®eality as a way to show their understanding and learn from one another. What was it like? See the above! Thanks BE.
  5. Really now my friend, who is there to drink, and what can be drunk, in the vast luminous sky?
  6. LOL! You've gifted me a land mine to drink a cup of tea on!
  7. Some monkeys are still in the tree. Dennis
  8. LOL and 3 deep bows! Dennis

    What is it?

Can't say what it is or isn't but if you can name it...just not that! Dennis
  10. Perhaps Zen is about simply observing the mind without making any judgments, and not about controlling it. Dennis
  11. Perhaps the real purpose of mindfulness is simply to be effortlessly fully aware of one's own mind. And perhaps achieving that you are then equally effortlessly mindful of no thing and of everything...or now that I've said it, perhaps not! Dennis
  12. "Is this all there is?" Reminds me of an old Zen saying, "Things are not what they seem to be, nor can they be otherwise." Dennis
  13. Perhaps nothing is the most important thing, but it too is without importance!
  14. Except for IDPA I'm unfamiliar with gun competitions. In which can you shoot an 8-shot 6.5" 9mm? Thanks, Dennis
  15. Just got one of these and I really like it. What kind of gun games can I shoot it in and would perhaps be competitive (if I were)? Thanks, Dennis
