2011 Florida State IDPA Championship, 11-13 March

Registration is now open for the 2011 IDPA Florida State Championship.

Match will be held 11-13 March at the Wyoming Antelope Club, 3700 126th Ave N, Clearwater, FL 33762.

Like last year’s match, clubs from throughout the state will design and run fun and challenging stages, making this a very popular match. We sold out before the match over the last two years, and with the on-line registration expect to sell out even sooner. Sign up early to get first choice of schedule and squads.

I will contact club POC’s with discount codes for the SO’s working their stages, but we may need a few more SO’s. If interested, contact me at bernardd@baytobay.org.

in the first 24 hours that registration has been open 93 shooters have signed up. It's probably safe to say that the match will sell out (max of 250 shooters). For sure the selection of schedule and squads is getting smaller, so if you plan to shoot and want to have much choice of schedule/squads, you may want to get on it.

Match is sold out!

Whether it was because of the on-line registration and squading, (thanks Jay!) the discounts for early registration/returning shooters, or just match popularity, we have essentially sold out the match (after being open for less than a week!). We thought that the match would sell out, just as it has for the last two years, but were pretty surprised to sell out so quickly.

To those of you that are registered to shoot; thank you for showing the confidence in our ability to run a worthwhile match, and for spending your hard earned money on a match that won’t happen for another four months. We take your commitment pretty seriously, and will do our utmost to make sure you are not disappointed.

For those that provided stage designs and have volunteered to work the match, again you have our thanks. Like all matches, excellence in “Stages and Staff” are the key. We have been flooded with stage design suggestions and offers of help, so cannot complain about lack of support.

For those that want to shoot the match but did not get signed up in time, all is not lost. We have established an on-line “Stand-By” List at www.matchsignin.org . Because the match fee is 100% refundable up to Jan 28th, there are bound to be some cancellations and slots opening up. We may be adding a few more staff shooters, so those of you counting will see our numbers grow past 250.

There will also continue to be a few additions as we get sponsored shooters. We held back a few shooter slots in anticipation of sponsorships. Our policy includes providing shooter slots to sponsors that provide a minimum of $500 in prizes or goods to support the match.
