mgood
Lea County Action Shooters finally posted their match results from Saturday. Congrats to JorDanO for winning the thing and to tohlmann for coming in second. That's a son and father 1st and 2nd. I had no penalties and no mikes for the whole match. I'm not sure if this is the first time I've done that or not. If not the first, it's definitely one of very few times. Just for giggles, I added up the raw points from each stage. (Points minus penalties for each stage, with 0 being the lowest possible score for any stage, then added the stages. No time.) Though I was 15th out of 24 over all and 3rd out of 5 in Production, I had the highest number of raw points, shooting 95% of the available points. (I have to have something to be proud of since I'm unlikely to win a match in the near future.) Numbers on the left are where each person finished in the overall combined results. BillD
Congrats!!! Don't diss it, it can add up. I managed to shoot clean at the MI sectional and won in SS!! And I needed every point to do it...lol My goal every match is to shoot clean. Rarely happens, however.
ak47traxx
Congrats! I shot the TN sectional clean this year. I missed 1st place in my class by 5 points. Guess I should have stepped it up just a tad more But it does feel good to make it through a match with no mikes and/or penalties.
mgood
Looked at another way, I can see where I'm hurting. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd over all went to the shooters with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fastest times, respectively, regardless of points. Looking at raw time, regardless of points, I'm way down the list. This list looks a lot closer to the over all standings list. JorDanO
Congrats on winning D! I could tell on Saturday that you shot a real clean match. I think you just need to make a conscious effort to do everything quicker.
mgood
Thanks, and yeah, I do. I need to get a case of ammo and go shoot a bunch of Bill drills.
