I have been around guns and hunting all of my life here in the south but learning how to really shoot is hard.

I want to get into USPSA and IDPA and simular but now I feel like I am starting all over from scratch. Went to watch my first match Saturday.

Having to un-learn a lifetime of bad habits.

I'm 45 but I feel like i'm a 10 year old newbie.

I am learning tons from everyone here and almost anywhere else I can soak up knowledge. Great site!!!!!!

I just got rid of all of my hunting stuff and now I am shooting a Springfield XDm .40.

Anyway, nice to meet all of you. Anyone in the Birmingham area that wants to trade some shooting lesons for lunch, let me know.
