S-Hurt
A few years ago, before I was introduced to this great website, I was loading 45 ACP with N 350. My load was 7.0 grains of N 350, 230 grain RN bullet, Winchester primer, with an OAL of 1.265. I loaded around 3,000 or more rounds for my Glock 21. Last week I dug out a few rounds and decided to chrono these out of my new S/W 625 revolver. I averaged 795 fps. It felt brutal. Is N 350 a good powder for 45 ACP in my revolver? (I have around 4lbs left of N 350) Should I get my numbers back down to round 720 fps? Throw the old N350 out and buy Clays? Pull the bullets and recycle? What are your thoughts? DougCarden
Shoot up the ammo you have loaded. Get some CLAYS and never look back loading the .45 with 350. Sell the 350 to an open shooter that will love it, or buy an open gun to shoot the 350 up in..... It is all good! We have all been there..... S-Hurt
Well ... I bought the N350 for a 38 super but figured it was also good for 45 ACP. Wrong!
RH45
I use 350 in my open guns, but, never tried it in anything else. For .45 ACP, I USED to use 4 grains of Clays, behind a Zero, 230 grain fmj, but, I'm really tired of the temp. sensitivity, and am switching to 310 for .45 ACP.
