Which Spring ?

Is there a way to determine which recoil spring works best? What are the signs that you look for when testing different weight springs? I am devolpeing an open Glock 35 with a jager comp. I am currently using a 13lb. How do I know if this is the best weight?

Ideally, with no extra effort on your part, the gun should lift and return to the same point.

like pat said, it should lift and come back tothe same spot, back in the day, a test for our open guns was to hold it at arms length, ready to shoot, but with the slide locked back, then thumb the slide release and chamber a round, if the dot/sights dipped, you had way too much spring

Try both, and see which "feels" better for you. Watch the spent cases - are they flying consistently or dribbling out? There is no perfect answer with variables in loads, so best is to see which you prefer after shooting both.
