M1A Compensator

It's a DPMS .223 comp bored out to .308. DPMS I believe now offers it in .308, which will save you some work. The only adapter I am aware of is made by Smith Enterprise. http://www.nokick.com/M_14_Threaded_Front_Sight_Base_p/m14-tfsb.htm Using this, you can add any comp you want. Check out this video of the Titan:

Michael Fordyce also uses the DPMS comp modified in the same way.

I got everything JB welded together yesterday for my Titan. (yes, I'm kidding.) I have not used a brake on my M1A before. The only times I've noticed recoil slowing down my follow up shots is in the 7 to 20 yard range. I expect I'll still have a little recovery past 20 yards even with this comp. (I haven't test fired yet though to see the difference.) Full report to follow after a range day.

It sure is going to make me look sexy though.....and I need all the help I can get!

I am now using this adapter instead of cutting turning and threading a stock flashider.

This thing is machining perfection!

I have been happy with the Miculek 223 bored to 308 and have now

gone to the Arredondo 308 comp.

Most any brand will work but I require short and light. Arredondo is just right.

Surefire will be in the mix soon at a later date.
