Danva
anyone got a starting point for Montana Gold 124gr JHP using VV 320. The MG bullet has a channelure so seating long won't work. The VV book lists 4.4 max for a Hornady JHP but the oal is way longer than the bullet I am going to be using I have been using 4.2gr for remington 124's but tha MG bullet is seated deeper. I need to find a starting point for working up to a 135PF in a G17 .... 4.1 or 4.0?? Thanks Dan C
ronhonda
Reading somewhere on this site I found someone was using 4.1-4.2 gr of N320 with a MG 124gr head in their G17 with a OAL of 1.100-1.
G-ManBart
You sure you don't have your bullets mixed up? The 124gr JHP (.355) doesn't have a cannelure. The 125gr JHP (.357) does have a cannelure. R, Edit to add: You can seat longer than where the cannelure is...looks odd, but will work as long as you've got enough bullet pull (neck tension). Aircooled6racer
Hello: Load them with 4.1gr VV320 and a OAL of 1.140". That should be very close. Thanks, Eric
