SDM
I got the holes measured. The larger one measures 0.30" and the smaller one is 0.23".
Pro-Pain
Anybody know the actual size of the nut that holds the front sight in place? I keep seeing 3/16th and 1/4th with consistency. Or are sights made with both of these dimensions?
Braxton1
3/16" on the front sight screw. I've never seen a 1/4" one, either OEM or aftermarket.

I'm trying to make this a DIY project before I break down and buy a $15 socket, but on some of the DIY sites I've looked at they said to use a 1/4" drive to do it... SDM
I've dealt with Dawson, Warren, and Trijicon and they were all 3/16". If you use a 1/4" drive socket make sure the thinned end is long enough to reach the screw through the slide.
Biloxi23
Maybe I'm backwards, but my genuine Glock armorer tool kit came with a factory tool that works well, and is thin enouh that you are not likely to generate enough torque to twist off onne of those itty bitty screws. What's the outside diameter of that tool?
Glockster35
I went to Sears and got one. Had to trime the outside diameter, but eventually got it to work.
