Greg in VA Posted June 19, 2010 Share Posted June 19, 2010 If thats all you have go for it, Drop the bullet weight down to 155grs and the lead will not be so much...I have a springfield 1911 that loves 155gr bullets with AA#5 running about 1000fps and it shoots very nice. gm iprod Posted June 20, 2010 Share Posted June 20, 2010 I am with Greg. Find what your gun shoots best. My Kimber that we used in the Nostalgia match at the 30th Bianchi preferred 185gr JHP. We ran it about 750fps the mover lead was about 12". Just off the front of the Target at 25Y was required. Not brilliant, but it was fun. I am sure if you gave it a go you would figure it all out, if nothing else it would give you a good appreciation of how it was all done in 1979.
